Prepare To Be Wow!ed

We’re incredibly excited to be a part of WOW!house 2024, the biggest design event of the summer.

This year we’re working in collaboration with @guygoodfellow for the @tissusdhelenelondon Drawing Room at WOW!house 2024, and our talented artisans have been handcrafting several bespoke pieces to be displayed in the Drawing Room and we’re excited to see our ideas come to life.

Inspired by a Country House Drawing Room, this project is described as a “fantasy interior with a strong sense of fun and entertainment.” The room will be deeply layered, yet full of subtle connections. We can’t wait to see the room at @designcentrech and hope to see you there!

In honour of the event, here’s 5 things that still WOW us about The Odd Chair Company…

1)    We are a sustainable brand

All our pieces are made using the finest, sustainably sourced materials. From solid, seasoned timber for our frames, to ethically sourced loose hair and British wool wadding to layer up our soft furnishings before adding the top fabric. Using these high quality, natural materials ensures both comfort and longevity and truly results in furniture that lasts a lifetime.

2)    We offer a home visit service

If you can’t access our showroom and you are considering selecting several pieces from us, we will happily bring a selection of your requested designs to your home or site for you to try in situ. Our dedicated team will arrive at your location and carefully place the furniture in your home for you to try for an hour to ensure you are happy with both the comfort and design.

3)    We use traditional techniques

All of our cabinet makers are traditionally bench trained and our upholsterers use time-honoured techniques such as hand-nailing and deep buttoning when creating our pieces. We are extremely proud of our traditional craft heritage and feel passionate about keeping it alive.

4)    We deliver worldwide

For UK based customers, deliveries are made from our Lancashire workshops and our in-house dedicated delivery team will hand deliver, place in situ and unwrap for you. However, we’re proud to ship across the globe and can cater to all your bespoke furniture needs no matter where you’re based. We’re thrilled to have seen our pieces land in places such as Paris, The United States and The Middle East to name a few.

5)    Our showroom in London’s Design Hotspot

We’re proud to be based in the heart of London’s Design District. Our showroom is open Monday-Saturday where you can pop in and browse our current collection. Whether you’re in need of a sofa or chair, table or ottoman, we’ve got something guaranteed to elevate your space.
